At Indooroopilly Golf Club, we take pride in maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment both on the course and within our clubhouse. Our course etiquette and dress standards are designed to reflect the tradition, integrity, and spirit of the game, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all members and guests. We kindly ask that all visitors familiarise themselves with the following guidelines before playing or practising.

Dress Regulations

Playing or Practicing Golf – Policy – Neat, clean attire is to be worn at all times and should reflect the status and dignity of our membership and Indooroopilly Golf Club.

Men

Shirts

  • Shirts must have collars, sleeves and be clean.
  • Shirts with turtle necks or mock turtle necks are permitted.

Trousers and Shorts

  • Trousers and shorts must be tailored, neat, clean and worn with a belt.
  • Denim, pants or shorts with a drawstring or elastic top, are not permitted.

Shoes

  • Shoes must be clean, fully enclosed and worn with socks.
  • Golf shoes must not have metal spikes.
  • In the clubhouse enclosed shoes may be worn without socks.

Women

Golf Attire

  • Golf clothing similar in style to what is sold in the club’s Pro Shop should be a guide if any doubt as to whether an article of apparel is suitable or not.
  • Shoes must be clean, fully enclosed and worn with socks.
  • Golf shoes must not have metal spikes.
  • Denim, pants or shorts with a drawstring or elastic top, are not permitted.

Logos & Brand Names

  • Logos, brand names or advertising on clothing must be discreet

Poinciana bar Attire

  • Tailored shirts may be worn outside the pants.
  • Enclosed shoes may be worn without socks.
  • Golf attire may be worn (bottom of shoes should be cleaned before entering the area)
  • Denim may be worn as long as it does not have a torn, worn-out or dirty appearance.

 

Unacceptable Attire

Clothing or footwear that may be construed as “gym wear” beach wear”,

T-shirts, dirty or torn garments, work boots, thongs.
